To Make a Difference

Porsche Danbury is proud to nominate Linda Hutchings of Community Food Rescue as someone truly making a difference in the 068 community. She embodies the spirit, generosity, and commitment that makes this area a special place to be, and we are honored to celebrate individuals who strengthen our community every day.

At Porsche Danbury, community involvement is at the heart of what we do. Our team participates in initiatives that uplift our neighbors. We proudly host annual American Red Cross blood drives. During the Thanksgiving season, we volunteer alongside the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut to distribute meals to families. We are committed to supporting programs such as several SCOR youth soccer teams, keeping kids active and enjoying time off their screens.

In addition, Porsche Danbury has hosted or sponsored programs and events benefiting organizations including ROAR Animal Shelter, The Prospector Theater, The Ridgefield Playhouse, The Aldrich, and A.C.T. of CT, among many others.

Members of the Porsche Danbury team proudly call the 068-area home, including a senior Porsche regional executive who chose to raise her family within this vibrant community.

Rosie Snow-Voulgaris is the founder of Pop Art! Kids, a sensory art and learning studio. What started as her bringing sensory bins to parks has grown into a thoughtfully designed space where children and caregivers can connect, create, and feel supported.

Her inspiration came from her son, who was diagnosed with Dup15q Syndrome, a rare genetic condition, and discovering firsthand the impact sensory play has on a child’s development.

Rosie has created an environment that celebrates creativity, neurodiversity (although all children are welcome), and connection. Every child feels seen, capable, and excited to explore, creating a welcoming safe space for parents navigating early childhood. Her work goes beyond art, she’s building confidence, joy, and meaningful moments for families. “When children walk into Pop Art! Kids I want them to feel empowered creatively, but I also want parents to feel something. Nostalgia. Relief. Joy. Permission to play again,” says Rosie.

Greg Mursko

"I could not be prouder of the students I work with. Their design skills are growing by leaps and bounds and now they will have a beautiful addition to their portfolios.”

Greg Mursko is Publisher of 068 Magazine, Co-Founder of RPAC Art Center and Academy, and an award-winning graphic designer. He launched 067 NexGen as a hands-on publication studies program, teaching students every stage of magazine production from concept to print. Now designed by students from three local colleges, the magazine has become a true labor of love for Greg and his team. The first issue of 067 NexGen was published in January/February 2026.

Greg dedicates countless weekends and evenings to conference calls, in-person design lessons, and personally helping students secure additional design opportunities.

He is able to meet students where they are, guide them toward their goals, and teach strong creative fundamentals. Greg believes real-world experience is essential to education. As he shared, “I could not be prouder of the students I work with. Their design skills are growing by leaps and bounds and now they will have a beautiful addition to their portfolios.”

Tracy Seem

When Tracy Seem’s kids went off to college, she found she had extra time on her hands. With her background in museum work and art history, getting involved with the Ridgefield Historical Society (RHS) was a natural fit. Since her involvement with RHS, Tracy has made some impactful changes – they now have an executive director, a collections manager, and a really strong working board (Tracy was Board President for four years). Tracy is most proud of two projects she has been a part of with RHS. One was getting the lease for the Branchville Schoolhouse from the town. RHS is currently restoring the building, which can eventually be used for meetings and exhibits. RHS also advised Veterans’ Park School on the renovation of their auditorium, modernizing the space but keeping as much of the original fabric of the mid-century building intact. “I love legacy work,” says Tracy. “I think if you can make a little impact to change or preserve something in your town that will benefit the future, it’s worth it.”

Max Nadoraski is proving that a t-shirt can carry a powerful message—and help build a kinder world.

Max is the founder of Lead the Change, a positivity movement featuring bold, message-driven apparel that promotes empathy and inclusion. The brand has reached 33 states and four countries, plus gives 20% of all proceeds to SPHERE CT, a local nonprofit that inspired Max through his work with adults with disabilities. His first donation was $1,200.

Lead the Change has drawn support from local playwright Harvey Fierstein, who wore Max’s “Empathy: The silent rebellion against selfishness” design sharing it on social media and Congressman Jim Himes, who wore “Walk a Mile. Then Speak.” Other messages include “It’s Cool to Be Kind” and “Kindness is My Superpower.”

Max pitched Lead the Change at Ridgefield’s “Tiger Shark Tank” event at the Ridgefield Playhouse, earning repeated applause and his first investor.

Alice Smith

“What we’ve created is an educational space to teach people about the history of horticulture in Connecticut – representing a botanical journey through time – starting in the 1600’s through the 1900’s”.

Alice Smith has always had a love for gardening. When she retired from her job at Redding Town Hall, she decided to volunteer her time to the Parade Path, a space on the Redding Town Green where the town’s founding fathers used to organize their local militia. In 2003, the restoration of this green space began as a way to highlight this piece of Redding’s rich history. A lot of the original plantings were donated by residents who live in historic houses. Originally spearheaded by Georgina Scholl, Alice took over the maintenance of the Parade Path in 2021 and now people can meander through the path at their leisure. “What we’ve created is an educational space to teach people about the history of horticulture in Connecticut – representing a botanical journey through time – starting in the 1600’s through the 1900’s,” says Alice. As Redding prepares to celebrate America’s 250th, the Parade Path will be featured in the town’s festivities.

Ian Lewis

Ian Lewis hasn’t lived in Ridgefield long, but he has made a meaningful impact on the community. Since joining Ross Artisanal Bakery & Café as Chief Operating Partner in 2024, he has helped transform the beloved bakery into a gathering space where people feel welcome, connected, and cared for. “I want to offer well-made food that people can enjoy together,” says Ian. While Ross is known for its bustling atmosphere and loyal following, Ian believes a business should serve more than its customers alone. At the end of each business day, any remaining food is donated to a variety of local food banks, ensuring quality food continues to benefit the community. Ian also generously donates his food – everything from quiches to croissants – to a variety of non-profit organizations such as Ann’s Place and Kids in Crisis, so they can focus on their fundraising efforts. Ian is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and proudly supports local PTA requests, big and small. Instead of gift cards, Ian likes to offer people an opportunity to bake alongside him.
“We’re here to take care of each other, and food is the experience that connects us,” says Ian.

Linda Hutchings credits her passion for giving back to the community to her mother, who was very active with St. Stephen’s church. For Linda, her way of helping others has almost always involved food. When she retired from Pepperidge Farm after 33 years (during which time she helped run a soup kitchen in Bridgeport), Linda continued helping people get the food they need through her involvement with Connecticut Food Bank and Danbury Food Pantries. This work eventually evolved into the establishment of Community Food Rescue, which rescues food that otherwise would’ve been thrown out and delivers it to food pantries in the area. Donations come from a variety of big box stores such as Costco, Big Y, and Aldi. Additionally, Linda organizes a local mobile food truck that provides food to over 700 low-income seniors. “Food is a human right, but hunger is a daily fight for some people. I have an incredible crew who work to end hunger locally, which is more of a problem than people realize,” says Linda.

Ezra Zimmerman

For Ezra Zimmerman, owner of EZ Services, Ridgefield’s premier moving and decluttering company, helping others has always been part of not only his business model but who he is as a person. About 10 years ago, while moving the furniture of an elderly woman who had no family around, Ezra noticed her bed and bedding were worn and damaged. So, he bought the woman a new bed, mattress, and bedding for her apartment in Ballard Green. “It was just the right thing to do,” says Ezra. Since then, he has offered his help towards a variety of causes, from hurricane disaster relief to providing prepared meals at Thanksgiving through Social Services. He has donated his moving trucks to help to transport the sneaker sculptures from the ArtFul KICKS Public Art Event and has been a sponsor of the annual turkey pardoning. For his continued dedication to the 068 area, he was recently awarded Outstanding Community Leader by the Ridgefield Fathers Club. “Plenty of people need help, and I think it’s important to give back when you can,” says Ezra.

Stephanie Heering

"The joy and relief that people feel knowing that someone out there cares about them and can offer assistance makes it all worthwhile,”

Stephanie Heering is involved in several aspects of Ridgefield (see the Noted on page #10), but she is most proud of her real estate company, Property Twins Team, and her work as the founder of Angel of Ridgefield, a non-profit started with her sister Siobhan Santini in memory of their sister Sharron McCleery Lavotori. “Sharron was such a giving, caring person. She would give you the gloves right off her hands. We created the Angel of Ridgefield to honor her legacy,” says Stephanie. The Angel of Ridgefield’s mission is to help those in need in the greater Ridgefield area. With contributions from the community, the Angel of Ridgefield has helped families with everything from paying bills to buying clothes or diapers.

Ashley Paltauf, Executive Director of the Ridgefield Playhouse, does so much to better the community. The incredibly successful Ridgefield Town Party was her brainchild and has truly resonated with the entire Ridgefield community—bringing together local businesses and fellow non-profits for an afternoon of music, entertainment, and celebration. With a well-known act like The Head and The Heart performing, offering this one-of-a-kind experience free to Ridgefield residents is both unique and extraordinary.

Ashley’s leadership and commitment to accessibility in the arts have made a lasting impact on the greater 068-area. She has been a champion of the Arts in Education program, which brings live theater to students who might not otherwise have access to these experiences. The Playhouse also helps cover transportation and meals for schools where attending would otherwise be unattainable. “We’re incredibly fortunate to call Ridgefield home, and our gratitude extends far beyond the Ridgefield Town Party. It lives in our steadfast mission to make the arts accessible to everyone — creating meaningful experiences, fostering connection, and continuing to give back to the community,” says Ashley.
