After months of anticipation (and some very strict licensing restrictions), A.C.T. of Connecticut can officially announce that Les Misérables is coming to Ridgefield, May 20-June 20, 2027!For A.C.T. Artistic Director Daniel C. Levine, who will direct the production, this one is especially meaningful. Les Misérables was the very first Broadway show Levine had the honor of appearing in, way back in the mid-1990s. More than 30 years later, he will return to the musical that helped launch his Broadway career – this time as director. And A.C.T. is going big! Les Misérables will feature the largest cast in the theater’s 8-year history, along with the largest orchestra A.C.T. has ever assembled. From the scale of the production to the extraordinary score filling the intimate 184-seat theater, this promises to be a Les Misérables unlike any audiences have experienced before.Apparently, audiences are just as excited. Even before the official announcement, ticket sales have been extraordinary, and Les Misérables is already shaping up to become the fastest-selling production in A.C.T. of CT’s history. But there is plenty to look forward to before the barricade rises. Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is currently playing through November 22, followed by the hilarious and irreverent Avenue Q, running February 4-March 7.Then, on May 20, A.C.T. of CT will take on its most ambitious production yet! It has been a secret worth keeping and a show years in the making. Now, A.C.T. can finally shout it from the rooftops: LES MISÉRABLES IS COMING TO RIDGEFIELD! •
