Mark Twain Library Book Fair in Redding
The Mark Twain Library Book Fair is the oldest – and one of the largest – in New England. The library was founded by Samuel Clemens – Mark Twain himself – in 1908. Twain moved to Redding in 1907 and had more books than would fit in his new home. He donated thousands of his own titles to help get the library started; today, over a century later, the Book Fair raises the funds to keep his library thriving. Labor Day Weekend: September 2nd – 5th$20 Early Admission Charge from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday 9/2; free admission the remainder of the fair. Last day for donations is July 31st.
