In addition to being an accomplished artist, CT resident Jim Malloy is also an author and songwriter. Using multiple disciplines to channel his creativity, he has written works that range from mystery, fantasy, humor, and more.
Lifeline is his latest story about a young drifter who finds himself more or less (as in jobless and penniless) stranded on the outskirts of a has-been, rust belt city. He is a lost soul with a memory problem – and a mysterious tattoo on the back of his neck he didn’t request. In fact, he has no recollection of anything in his past – and very little inclination to change his sad lot in life until he is thrust into a wild adventure that changes everything. What happens next could only be described as a zany French farce. The drifter, Jackson Payne, gets a job at an old hotel where he ultimately finds the love of his life, the meaning of his tattoo, and a lifeline to his future. That is, only after he dodges a teenage hitman, the jealous husband of the second-floor maid, a quirky corduroy magnate with definite signs of megalomania, a pair of adorable, slap-happy do-gooders, a shaman called ‘The Hobbit,’ and a hotel manager with a chip on her shoulder the size of an unsanctioned twenty-pound bowling ball.”For more information, please visit www.3dreamscreative.com •
