This Friday June 5th, 11-year-old Redding resident Michael Sherman will be competing in a wild card race to be crowned the next American Ninja Warrior Junior. This wildcard race follows the first round, which aired last Friday, May 29th. If Sherman wins the wildcard race, he’ll advance to the quarterfinals!
Sherman is one of twelve “junior ninjas” from across the U.S. who are facing off on head-to-head courses alongside season one reigning champions and fan favorites. Competitors are grouped in three age brackets: 9 & 10, 11 & 12, and 13 & 14 year-olds. Sherman is one of two New England competitors, along with a Sargent Chizmada from Stoughton, MA. Chizmada is in the 9 & 10 group. Three final winners (one per age bracket) will ultimately be crowned “American Ninja Warrior Junior” Champions on June 12.
New to the course for season two are ten iconic American Ninja Warrior obstacles including the Shrinking and Floating Steps, the Little Dipper, Spider Walls, Double Tilt Ladders, Crazy Cliffhanger, the Block Run, Flying Squirrel, Wingnuts and Skyhooks.
We know we’ll b sue tuning in to support Michael as he faces off again against junior ninjas from across the nation to be crowned the ultimate Ninja Warrior.
