The Aldrich Museum’s New Online Fundraiser, In an Instant: Polaroids for The Aldrich
The Aldrich has announced a new online fundraiser, In an Instant: Polaroids for The Aldrich. For this art sale, the Museum sent thirty-one alumni artists a Polaroid camera and asked them to return eight photographs. The artists responded creatively with work that is fun, serious, moving, and provocative. The works for sale were made within the constraints of the Polaroid medium and the artists’ working spaces while sheltering in place.
Each work is priced at $175, unframed, and will be available for purchase on the dedicated micro-site, www.polaroidsforthealdrich.org, starting July 6 at 12 noon, with the sale endingat 5 pm on July 13.
The participating artists have all had solo exhibitions at The Aldrich or have had work in group exhibitions. They include: Huma Bhaba, Janet Biggs, Sebastiaan Bremer, David Brooks, Marti Cormand, Petah Coyne, Michael De Feo, Jeanne Finley, Kate Gilmore, Jessica Jackson Hutchins, Lisa Kereszi, Joyce Kozloff, Michelle Lopez, Anissa Mack, Suzanne McClelland, Richard McGuire, Sean Mellyn, Jason Middlebrook, David Opdyke, Hayal Pozanti, Frank Poor, Peggy Preheim, Rosamond Purcell, David Scanavino, Michelle Segre, Alyson Shotz, Tony Tasset, Penelope Umbrico, Cheryl Van Hooven, Allan Wexler, and B.
