Recess PlayWorks has announced their new Learning Pod Program, specifically designed for preschool and Grades K – 5 students. Learning Pod Program is an alternative to in-person learning is a term-based program running 12 weeks, 5 days a week for 2 hours a day.
“We fully understand that every family feels differently about returning to school this Fall. Some parents intend to send their children back to school, while others prefer remote learning or homeschooling. Whatever your choice may be for the upcoming year, we support you,” the Recess Playworks team shared.
Recess Playworks’ experienced, accredited teachers will customize children’s curriculum based on the CT Core Standards in socially distant learning pods of 4-6 children. Core curriculum subjects include math, reading, writing, and STEM. They will also offer an afternoon extracurricular program that includes art, music, language and movement. Recess Playworks’ curriculum + extracurricular program aims to provide an optimal balanced day for children.
Recess Playworks has also been hosting outdoor arts and crafts classes, science classes via Zoom, and “Books and Beasts” classes during which children can see and touch some of the animals that live at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.
Additionally, Recess Playworks offers a variety of co-working spaces, perfect for parents who need a few hours (or a full day!) of solace. A variety of access options are available, from hourly to memberships.
