Wilton Entrepreneur Michael Fensterstock Launches Frozen Foods Delivery Company, All Day Snacks
During the pandemic, Wilton resident Michael Fensterstock created the perfect alternative to nervously braving grocery stores by launching All Day Snacks, a frozen foods delivery company. All Day Snacks’ initial product is arepas, the “simple-to-prepare, sometimes sweetened, corn flour and cheese pancake known throughout South America as FREAKN AWESOME” says Fensterstock.
All Day Snacks’ arepas arrive frozen and easy-to-prepare, and are currently offered in three flavors: classic cheese, rosemary & garlic, and chocolate. They’re all made from gluten-free corn flour and are made in a local, certified commercial kitchen that is also a dedicated gluten free, nut free facility. Now available for home delivery in Fairfield County, All Day Snacks will soon be expanding into New Haven County.
Fensterstock’s inspiration for All Day Snacks came in 2018, when his family’s au pair, Jenny, introduced their family to arepas – the same ones her abuela used to make in Colombia. They ate Jenny’s arepas with coffee and hot chocolate in the morning, as a healthy bread for our lunch sandwiches, and as a side as dinnertime. “We even got to experience dessert arepas,” said Fensterstock. Fensterstock was determined to share the delicious snack with locals, and All Day Snacks was born.
The versatility truly is amazing. On All Day Snacks’ social channels, Fensterstock highlights the variety of ways folks can enjoy his arepas, from pressed in a waffle iron and served with strawberries and cream to sauteed with Trader Joe’s famous “Everything but the Bagel” seasoning.
During the pandemic, Fensterstock donated arepas to first responders in Wilton, Darien, Westport, Norwalk, Trumbull, and more, and he doesn’t have a small vision for his new business. “We hope to help make people’s lives a little better, even in a small way, and we hope to create lots of new jobs in the near future” said Fensterstock.
